Stryper

Stryper is an American heavy metal band formed in 1983. They are considered pioneers of Christian metal, as they combine biblical lyrics with classic hard rock and metal.

They became best known for their yellow-and-black (striped) color scheme, which runs through all of their stage attire and equipment. The band’s name is derived from a Bible verse (Isaiah 53:5: “...by his stripes we are healed”).

In 2025, they performed at the Loud and Proud Festival and thrilled the crowd; after all, they hadn’t been in Germany for 15 years.
